Today’s Rise Up Well is a simple reminder of the power of surrender. I have found that I tap into my greatest inner strength when I let go and let God take over.

For you it may not be God. It may be the Universe, a higher power, spirit, your intuition, source, or a magnetic force that pulls you beyond the present realm of reality.

What’s important is that you allow something GREATER THAN YOURSELF to guide your life and position you for victory.

You are destined for greatness. But we often get in our own way.

We think WE have to find the solution and figure our lives out. When we get so overwhelmed and confused looking for a solution to our challenges, playing out every scenario in our mind, we forget that the answer is right there in front of us if we only stop and listen.
The way to hear from your source is to:
  • LET GO
Chances are, you’re trying to “fix” some aspect of your life or you're challenged by circumstances that seem beyond your control.

You may be faced with telling some heart wrenching news to someone you love and are exhausted and emotionally spent trying to figure out the best way to communicate.

I know; I’ve recently been there.

When we are in a state of constantly trying BY OURSELVES to figure out how to solve, fix, or find answers to our situation, we live in a state of unrest and never find the resolution and clarity we seek.

I want to share with you the wakeup call I encountered that reminded me I had to STEP OUT OF MY LIFE IN ORDER TO STEP INTO MY SOLUTION.

Today I went out on my stand up paddle board. The early morning sun was rising and the water seemed to somehow call me to participate in its magnificence.

I was a bit tired, but the pull of nature and its energetic force beckoned me to venture out into the sea.

I had been challenged by some serious issues I was struggling to find answers to. I kept wondering how I could fix my situation.

The more I thought, the more lost and confused I became.

As I felt the connection with the water beneath me, I found myself paddling farther out into the ocean than I had ever gone before.

I turned on my iPod to randomly select songs. I thought how meditative it would be to listen to reggae, especially Bob Marley.

It was at that moment that I began to cry.

The emotional outpouring came not because of sadness but because I felt a sudden knowledge that everything was going to be okay.

What started out as a normal paddle became a paddle of surrender.

I realized out in the middle of the ocean that the only way for me to receive my answer was to let go and surrender to a greater source. To me, that source is God.

But I wanted to have confirmation, as we humans do, that everything was going to be okay and that I would be taken care of.

At that moment, out of 1,457 songs on my iPod, on came Bob Marley and the song Three Little Birds.
Don’t worry about a thing, ‘Cause every little thing is gonna be alright. Singin’ don’t worry about a thing, ‘Cause every little thing is gonna be alright! - Bob Marley

I began to laugh. I said, “Ok God, I get it. I hear you. I surrender all of this to you.”

I knew that by trusting God and letting  go of trying to solve my problems, He would show up, and I would know what to do. The right answers would come.

And you know what?

Later that day, they did—in the most profound, unexpected, and loving way.

What are you facing today? I invite you to surrender you problems, challenges, and fears to a power greater than you.

Decide to LET GO. Watch the miracles unfold and the solutions be revealed.

Sometimes they may not be what you initially wanted, but they will be exactly what you need.
With Love and Hope,
